| Meet Debi... Age: 33 Currently resides in: Spring / The Woodlands Kids: Two girls ages 5 and 8 |
Childhood Ambition:
I think I wanted to be a mom and a teacher.
Fondest Memory:
From before I had children... I have memories of working on our "land". My parents
bought a 2 acre bit of land in the country and we would go on weekends to clear the
land and get it ready to put a house on. We helped with everything from putting in the
sewer tank to putting up the barbed wire fence. It was nice listening to "old" country and
being with the family!
Wildest Dream:
I used to dream of giving away all my possessions to live day to day on a beach in
Mexico.
Proudest Moment:
I have proud moments every day when I see how much my girls are accomplishing and
growing. But for myself, my proudest moment was probably quitting my job of 10 years
as a well paid computer programmer to follow my dream of running my own business
as a children's photographer. That was the scariest thing I ever did and I was sure I
would chicken out, but here I am 2 years later!!!
Biggest Challenge:
My husband moved to Houston 10 months before the girls and I did... we stayed behind
to sell the house. I was a single mom and showing the house and caring for 2 dogs
and working... that was difficult to be just thrown into.
Perfect Day:
Wake up after a good night sleep, laze around until lunch time, sit out at the pool while
my girls swim (and don't fight) then come home and bbq for dinner - a nice summer day!
First Job:
Chicken fryer/server at a Sea World restaurant.
Indulgence:
Craft stuff that I have no business buying - like 10 skeins of yarn that were just so lovely
and on SALE - I don't even knit!!!
Last Impulse Purchase:
A snickers bar! It was good too...
Favorite Movie:
Always. Richard Dreyfus watches after his love after he dies suddenly - it's old but a
really nice movie.

= not at all what I thought it might be, but great!
