Peek a Boo
Use a stuffed dog and a blanket
to play hide and seek with your
infant. "Where's the doggy?"
"Peek a boo, here he is!"
Pet the Doggy
Let your child pet a real or stuffed
doggy. Teach him how to gently
pet the dog's head and back.
Bite the Fingers
Pretend to be a dog. Bark, and tell
your child "I'm gonna bite your
fingers." Pretend to growl and
nibble at his fingers while he
smiles and pulls his hand away.
Then go for the toes! Your baby
will enjoy squirming to get away!

Surprise Bag:
Fill a bag with things
that are round and let
your baby explore:
different sized balls,
fruit, toy cars with
round wheels, etc.
Include a picture of a
circle and trace the
circle with your finger
a number of times
while saying "around
and around".
Doggy Scavenger
Hunt
Go through a book or
magazine and point
out all the pictures of
dogs!

Hold your baby closely and
sing the song "You Are My
Sunshine":
