Roberts Elementary Annual Carnival
This year's theme is Surf's Up! and will include a dual lane super slide, a limbo
competition, Beach Boys music, tropical lei necklaces, and 16 other rides and

Clear Lake Greek Festival
The 15th Annual Clear Lake Greek Festival features traditional Greek foods, craft
vendors, kids' activities, dance troupes, and live music. In honor of Mother's Day
on Sunday, mothers bringing children are admitted free. Fri and Sun 11:00am - 10:
00pm, Sun 11:30am - 6:00pm, Clear Lake Park, 5001 Nasa Parkway, Seabrook.

League City Village Fair & Texas Music Festival
The 54th annual fair and music festival features live entertainment, carnival rides
and games, craft vendors, festival foods, and a Kids' Zone with sporting rides,
games, a petting zoo, circus acts, and more. A 5K run/walk is held on Sat morning.
Three-day passes are available for $20. Tickets and wristbands for the carnival
rides are sold separately. Fri 5pm-12m; Sat 10am-12m; Sun 11am-6pm, Walter Hall
Park, 807 Highway 3 North, League City.

Art Car Party on the Green
Art Cars invade Discovery Green, Houston's amazing new downtown park, for an
artists' party featuring live music comedy and more just after the world famous Art
Car Parade. The 2008 Parade winners will be announced. The Party on the Green
caps off Orange Show Art Car Weekend by allowing the public to share in the art
car experience up close and personal.  Co-sponsored by the Orange Show Center
for Visionary Art and the Convention and Entertainment Facilities Department. 3:00
- 6:30pm, Anheuser-Busch Stage, White Promenade, Saberioon Plaza and

Art Car Parade
The world's oldest and largest! Witness everything from dancing lobsters and

Spanish Nights
The Houston Symphony performs a concert of romantic and passionate Spanish
works, including Manuel de Falla's El amor brujo Love, the Magician and other
works. Classical guitarist Eliot Fisk joins the symphony on Joaquin Rodrigo's
Concierto de Aranjuez. 8:00pm, Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, The Woodlands.

Pasadena Strawberry Festival
Three fun-filled days of activities, attractions and entertainment the whole family
will enjoy. Featuring helicopter rides, Zoo dynamics, pig races, Star Family Circus,

Chicco's  BumpaPalooza
Expecting moms will attempt to set a Guinness World Record™ for a gathering of
the most pregnant women in one place, at one time.  All moms will be entered to

new Chicco You & Me Deluxe Infant Carrier. Saturday, May 17th at The Reliant

Mercer's Spring Bamboo Festival
The festival features lessons on growing and dividing bamboo, pest and disease
control, landscape uses, and what you can do with bamboo once you grow it. All

June 27-29
DockDogs
Presented for the first time in Houston, this Big Air Dogs competition is a  dynamic
canine sport measuring leaps and bounds. Televised on the Outdoor Channel,
DockDogs competition consists of dogs jumping into water from a designated dock
with the largest or highest leap earning that canine a victory. Dogs and owners
travel to Houston to compete, and the competition will be open to local dogs too. 12:
00noon - 8:00pm, Jones Lawn, Discovery Green Park (across from George R.
Brown Convention Center).
